Quilted Thread Rays

Learn to create a unique machine quilting effect using extended thread tails left exposed instead of buried. This technique adds an eye-catching layer of visual interest, which the instructor first discovered through organic experimentation. Students will receive instruction on how the original effect was achieved and will engage in imagining new applications for the technique. They will use small sample quilt sandwiches and the sewing machines provided to practice applying the technique to their own work.
